Abstract

This paper presents an overview of network security, cryptography, and digital signatures, highlighting their importance in protecting and digital information and ensuring secure communication. Cryptography provides essential security services such as confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation. The paper discusses widely used digital signature schemes, including Rivest - Shamir - Adleman (RSA), Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA), and Fiat - Shamir, along with their role in verifying data authenticity and integrity. With the rapid growth of the Internet, e-commerce, and to cloud-based applications, cyber threats have increased significantly, making network security more critical than ever. This study emphasizes the importance of cryptographic, techniques and effective security strategies for protecting data and strengthening modern communication networks.
